Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure [prensa]

Just wanted let you know about our comedy cosmic horror point and click adventure called Gibbous: A Cthulhu Adventure.

We like to think of it as Lovecraft meets LucasArts: everything hand drawn, frame by frame animation, classic-style gameplay, heavily referencing and spoofing the great cosmic horror author.

Our website www.gibbousgame.com contains a press pack, a couple of videos and basic info. There's also an alternate download for the demo on the website.

Our Kickstarter for Gibbous is live at http://tinyurl.com/GibbousKickstart
  • Classically-inspired point and click adventure game
  • Dark yet humorous – think Lovecraft meets Day Of The Tentacle
  • Frame-by-frame traditional animation
  • Lovingly painted 2d backgrounds inspired by Transylvanian architecture and nature
  • Exploration, character and story-driven experience
  • Fully voiced
  • Unique item combination responses for just about everything, up to six “examine” responses
  • Original soundtrack contains different musical themes for almost every screen
  • Tentacles, eldritch things one should not speak of, and all kinds of insanity, both cute and evil

The game has been Greenlit on Steam in just 10 days.

Gibbous is a loving spoof of the Cthulhu Mythos, blending cosmic horror themes with light hearted, feel-good humor that is very much Schafer and Gilbert-inspired. In short, it's a love letter to Lucas Arts and Lovecraft. We hope you'll like the multiple "examine" responses, Bill Tiller-inspired backgrounds, and plenty of item-to-hotspot nonsense - we tried not to let one combo slip without a customized gag. Here’s a letsplayer showcasing that:

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, hope you like the game!
